The Scholastic Book Fair is a great way to support our students and foster a love of reading!
This year the Book Fair will take place Nov 2- 6!
Don't forget to load money to their eWallet so they can shop with their class during their designated times!

The book fair will also be open during parent/ teacher conferences on Nov 3rd, so parents can swing by to shop the fair and support our community!
Here are a few ways you can can get involved:
• 📦 Help set up the fair before it opens.
• 📚 Volunteer during the fair — sign up to help your child’s class!
• ✏️ Help kindergartners write wish lists and find books they can buy within their budget.
• 💵 Get behind the register! (Yes, you get to use a cash register — how fun is that?!)
• 📦 Help with breakdown after the fair ends.

We have renewed with Boosterthon for our annual major fundraiser for the '26-'27 school year!
The money we raise through the Boosterthon and other smaller fundraising events help to support the West El community and host events like WERAWC!
What is Boosterthon?
Boosterthon is the easiest—and most fun!—way to exceed your school’s fundraising goals while creating an unforgettable experience for your students.
Here’s a step-by-step look at how it works:
1. Kickoff Week (April 1, 2027)
Your Boosterthon journey starts with a high-energy kickoff that gets students excited and sets the tone for the entire program. Our team introduces your fundraiser’s goals, the prize system, and the week’s character theme. Whether in person or virtual, the excitement is contagious!
2. Fundraising + Daily Fun
Then students and families begin collecting pledges and donations—all with our easy-to-use online school fundraising platform.
During fundraising days we help keep the energy and momentum high with:
- Engaging video content that teaches important character lessons.
- Fun class and school challenges that boost participation.
- Exciting prizes students can earn as they collect pledges.
- Live updates to keep everyone motivated and on track!
3. The Big Event Day (April 9, 2027)
This is what it all leads up to! Your school chooses the event that best fits your students and space—like a Fun Run, DanceFit, Glow Run, or Color Run. On event day, students run, walk, or dance to music and cheers in a school-wide celebration of their hard work. It’s active, inclusive, and unforgettable!
4. Celebrate + Wrap-Up
After the event, we handle the prize fulfillment and help you celebrate your school’s success. With Booster’s help, many schools not only meet but exceed their fundraising goals!

👕💙 West Elementary Spirit Wear Store! 💛
The West El Spirit Store opens a few times each year to give the West El community a fun way to show their school and town spirit!
This year, we’re excited to partner with TSR Hockey for all of our West El merchandise.
While the PTO receives 10% of each purchase to help support PTO-sponsored programs and events like WERAWC, the primary goal of the Spirit Store is to foster school pride, strengthen our community, and create positive experiences for our kids.
